My family

Hi! I am Jen. Welcome to milestone rd. I am hoping to use this blog as a diary of sorts, a way to chronical some family memories, photographs,  house projects, and our cottage in Nantucket. Those four things bring some of the greatest joys in my life and I would love to share my blessings with all of you. Join me as I embark on journey of unknown destination.

This is Drew, my better half. A loving husband and father to our two sweet children, Andrew and Caroline. He truely supports all of my endevours, but keeps my grand ideas and creativity grounded which I appreciate more than he knows. While he is sometimes reluctant to take on another home project or re-decorating mission, he usually jumps right in! He is a self-taught handyman and has learned alot since our some of our first projects.
I like to re-decorate and I love to change things in my home. I find inspiration from anything and everything. Creativity is definitely my outlet. Typically, when I introduce a new decorating idea or house project Drew is reluctant and our his conversations usually start off with these words,  "I just know what this project is going to turn into. It always snow-balls and before I know it a simple coat of paint turns into new furniture, fabric, curtains, fixtures,... you name it." The most famous line he uses in reference to my projects is "tip of the iceburg" because the sequence I just described sometimes goes exactly as he predicts.

This is Andrew. He is 6 years old and in the First Grade. He a sweet, endearing, sensitive little guy who loves to be social and is always up for a play-date. He adores his little sister; she is a lucky little girl for sure. Andrew is a good student and our little Super Sluth-- always trying to solve problems as they arise. Andrew has also been decribed as a "master negotiator" because he is quite good as using words to persuade. We are excited to watch him grow and honored to be the parents of such a wonderful little boy.

Our youngest is our daughter Caroline. She is 2 year old and full of spirit. Caroline is a sweet little girl  whom I am certain will keep us on our toes through out the years. She loves to have a good time and always makes us laugh. Caroline takes nothing too seriously, which helps us remember to take things in stride. She is a "Tom boy in a Tutu!" Meet our "Mamacita" as we affectionately call her.
